- The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts primarily celebrated on weekday evenings during Great Lent, where the faithful receive Holy Communion from gifts previously consecrated (or “presanctified”) at a Sunday Divine Liturgy. It combines Vespers with the distribution of the Eucharist, and because it is a service of fasting, no Eucharistic sacrifice takes place. ↩︎
